I found out the price and nearly flipped.... However, I must say it is a very nice hairdryer. It definitely dries my hair much faster than any hair dryer I've ever owned. It takes me about 3 - 4 minutes! (I was so impressed I actually timed it) Other hairdryers I've had take up to 10 minutes! I have thick long hair too. It fits my hand nicely too. It's like the perfect fit and is weighted just right. I never realized that was even an issue with other hairdryers... until I held this one I didn't even know what I was missing. The functions of heat and speed settings work great too, including the cool burst. My hair feels silkier with this, didn't know that a hairdryer could do that either??? Nothing negative to say about this item (other then the hefty price tag)

I ordered this dryer on the basis of the two product reviews already posted. Both were very helpful and accurate. I love this dryer! I had a CHI before, and this is an improvement with three heat settings, three blower settings and a COOL button. My CHI lasted about two years, and then I was shocked that I couldn't get it repaired- even though I live in the Houston area where CHI is headquartered.
I asked my hair dresser what dryer I should buy, and she recommended ELCHIM. The handle on the Da Vinci is slimmer than most, so it takes getting used to. But the settings options are fabulous, it has a very serious electrical cord (won't mess that baby up) and the weight balance is superb.
Love it, love it, love it.
